The InGamba Experience

It is a question of passion. Of common sentiment. Of affinity. Meeting the guys from In Gamba, through our friend Fausto Pinarello, couldn't help but seal a friendship that goes beyond the collaborations and projects we are working on together. Bikes can do this. That and much more.
The InGamba Experience
“A champion as your guide, an F8 Pinarello and a SAG wagon bringing up the rear with a mechanic and a massage therapist: Leading Bike and In Gamba are joining forces for the whole summer, for a cycling experience of your dreams."
And those who love cycling know it well. Just hop on and go for a nice ride and everything becomes simple, immediate and spontaneous. And with a guy like Joao Correja, even more so. A former pro with Portugal written on his heart, Joao is not just passionate about cycling, he is bursting with ideas. After retiring from racing, he invented In Gamba, probably the most original cycling tour operator out there today. Its motto is: eat up the miles, drink in the culture. Meaning, ride kilometers and kilometers on your bike and refresh yourself with the beauty of the landscape. Which is synonymous with culture, respect and sharing. And here at La Perla, we have the same vision, and we cultivate it in our souls, our hearts and even our heels. These are the premises at the basis of a new season for Leading Bike, our project for those who love high altitude cycling. From June to September, with the exception of the two middle weeks of August, the crew from In Gamba will be working with us to create a cycling experience on Dolomites roads as close as possible to that of a professional racer. We have created five- and six-day packages filled with itineraries of varying levels of difficulty led by a professional guide, either Joao Correja or Eros Poli, winner of a legendary stretch on Mont Ventoux, and riding an equally legendary F8 Pinarello, fully equipped with a GPS device already set for the route ahead, with altimetric maps identical to the ones used by the pros and a SAG wagon travelling behind you driven by a mechanic with lots of Giri and Tours under his belt and a massage therapist who was Alberto Contador's assistant. Not bad, right? If this is something you would like to try, just train, book and, if you want, have us pick you up at the airport. If you are coming from outside Italy and landing at one of the airports in Northern Italy, we will provide you with a car and driver. And you can leave your bike at home: here we have a splendid F8 ready and waiting for you. But that's not all. You will be catered to step by step, or better, pedal by pedal, with meticulous attention. Starting with breakfast, prepared according to nutritional criteria designed for those undertaking major endeavors, on to a daily laundry service for your clothes, the F8 and mechanical assistance, you will also enjoy dedicated care and the fun of swapping experiences in our Pinarello Lounge, a special meeting spot for cyclists. Dulcis in fundo, in September we will be organizing In Gamba Stars weeks, with special guests like Miguel Indurain and Davide Cassani: not bad at all really, cycling with champions and the La Perla and In Gamba staff. At this point, all that remains is to plan a week of champions and get properly trained. The Dolomites like you have never biked them before are waiting for you.
