A week at Ladinia to celebrate Autumn in style

From 28 September to 3 October, whilst almost all the hotels in the area close, Ladinia celebrates the season of a thousand colours by offering guests a week packed with activities of a cultural and stylish nature.
A week at Ladinia to celebrate Autumn in style
"Notwithstanding that Ladinia is the oldest of the Alpine establishment in Corvara and area to welcome guests, it retains a forward looking and innovative approach."
As the end of summer draws near, Hotel La Perla, as the majority of hotels in the area, prepares to end the season, Ladinia continues to remain open for those clients who appreciate the mountains in this period. Ladinia, famous as an Alpine refuge, may be the oldest of its type here in Corvara and surrounding valleys – it was Cesco Kostner back in 1930 who first opened its doors – it remains to this day one of the most innovative and forward looking. True, the rooms are not gigantesque at all, and the bathrooms have never seen a bidet. However whatever Ladinia lacks in size and infrastructure it makes up for with the welcome and offer it extends to guests. What was once true is still true today, in that we as hoteliers give our all so that the experience here at Ladinia is memorable, serene, and peaceful. The guest for us is the focus of our every attention and the mountain experience promises to be one to treasure. In keeping with our philosophy we are organising a week from 28 September to 3 October which will be dedicated to the imminent arrival of autumn. At a time when the trees are changing colour almost daily, when nature becomes a scene to sketch and take inspiration from, we have come up with an idea of particular appeal. A 5 night stay with a series of activities throughout, each individual in style but contributing to an action packed week of good life, culture, and appreciation of the mountain life. Even at breakfast time there will be a difference for Mariagrazia will guide guests through a selection of natural local produce. Don’t forget to try the delicious jams from Val Venosta! Later on in the days local wine producers will come along to show off and explain the delicacy of their wines – yes the Dolomites is all about wine too! The Dolomites will also feature in a space dedicated to the photography of Ladinia’s close friend, Gustav Willeit, his work illustrating the beauty of our mountain landscape. There will be a visit to a house dating back to the 1300s, so you can experience the life and customs of a different time. Also a young farmer from the region will visit us to explain the methods and tools of time ago. And of course there will be excursions to some of the most suggestive and fascinating places of these Ladin valleys. At the end of each excursion there will also be a gift as a little reminder of your trip. As for the rest of the programme Mother Nature will take care of things! Yes, the colours of autumn make of the landscape a paining into which you are a privileged visitor. Interested? Well, if these few snapshots of what the week entails appeal to you please go the Ladinia website and you will find all the information you need and instructions on how to book. We’ll be here to welcome you in our typical warm mountain way.
