From mountain to mountain, from one form of silence to another, it is the joyful laughter of small children which helps raise the spirit of all – these are the true pearls of our life. It is the smiles of these children, the ‘coming true’ of their dreams and the endeavours of Madame Jetsum Pema, the sister of his holiness Dalai Lama IV, that the Costa Family Foundation strives to support. The air may be more rarefied, the sky a more intense blue, the homes more brittle but the Tibetan children have names which suggest of a promising future, eyes which are the very reflection of peace, and hands which speak of love and tenderness.

With each and every one of them in mind, and thanks to your support, the Foundation is actively engaged in project development. Our next goal is the building of several classrooms in a Tibetan College. And who knows whether or not one day the next Dalia Lama will emerge from there, or perhaps a Nobel Prize winner or as we hope also very special youngsters who themselves will grow to be warm and caring parents.
