The Maratona dles Dolomites 2011, a never ending story

Giulan to those who conquest fatigue to reach the finishing line.
Giulan to Spinoza for helping us to us understand that “Nature’s God”. God and Nature is the source of all things tangible and intangible.
The Maratona dles Dolomites 2011, a never ending story

And a final Thank You from who is master of silence and knows that a simple single word will do. Giulan!
Giulan to Alex Zanardi, a person to respect and to love more and more with words and thoughts always to recall.
Giulan to the reasoning which helps us never to forget and accept the things as they are. If it is so it is so.
Giulan to the dream of a Marathon that returns year after year and brings us never ending sensations – courage, enterprise, joy and suffering are there for all to see.
Giulan to Mother Nature so wonderful and so proud. Forgive us the neglect and ruin we often cause you.
Giulan for the ovations as medals are received at the end of it all, a double journey experienced in deed: scaling Pordoi, Sella and Giau but also reaching the heights of one’s physical resistance.
Giulan to those whose support drives on the competitors through thick and thin.
Giulan to those who compete and return home without a medal but with a heart replenished with Dolomite beauty.
Giulan to all those who assist, be they at the refreshment points, close to their emergency vehicles, or on alert for mountain rescue service and support.
Giulan to those who carry out the essential mundane volunteer tasks, from giving out bags and numbers to collecting waste and numerous used items.
Giulan to those unsung folk who restore all which is Dolomite to pristine state after the event.
Giulan to those who come in last and those who wait for those who come in last for ‘together we can’.
Giulan to you dear Mountain Range with peaks so radiant and faces so bold … we come but once year so please no fear for we are proud of your serene majesty.
Giulan to you Our Lord who may tire of unending reigns but never of the precious small Alpine flowers.
Giulan also go to you that watch on TV and read us in the press for your enthusiasm is always very much with us.
Giulan to entertainers all – the gymnasts, trampolinists, the fire-eaters and of course not to forget Max and his one and only xylophone.
And our Giulan to whoever sends an sms in support of the project for healthy eating in Karamoja, Uganda.
Giulan to those 540 children eyes on the Saturday morning. It is as if they are implanted with cheer!
And Giulan to the Mona Lisa as well for giving us the most famous smile in the world!
Giulan again for every smile which comes out of this event.
Giulan for the times to come and to the 2012 Marathon: The Smile Marathon is soon to come.
Giulan to all the emotions expressed in thousands of ways and through thousands of words.
