The common welfare economy

Christian Felber is a young Austrian economist who has developed a different thought process to the economic world of tomorrow. In his book “Common Welfare Economy” - 2012– he has highlighted the deep need of many European countries to both renew and recover ethical values in the interests of the wellbeing of the planet as a whole.
The common welfare economy
Human dignity, equality, solidarity, environmental sustainability, social justice, and the shared democratic management are the fundamental elements. The success of the companies – and of organisations – should not be evaluated merely from a turnover standing, but above all from consideration of what is achieved in terms of environmental respect, and respect for employees, suppliers, and clients. The evaluation of a company’s success is defined by values in favour of the common good through a balance sheet which ranges from 0 to 1,000 points; the points adjudication measures the contribution in terms of ‘’wellbeing’’ that the company brings to society: the goal is a healthy and just life for all living things and planet itself, whereby as illustrated the economic system is modelled towards the common good.
5 OF 850…among the companies that apply this approach are:
Triade bio
Südtirol Pur
Engl Werkzeugbau
Profanter Bäckerei
